Give This Podcast A Good Listen...

It's rare to have a recommended podcast that I haven't heard of, but this week a client of mine turned me on to "Dropping Bombs," a podcast featuring Brad Lea. Lea is a Las Vegas Tech CEO with a great interview style and fantastic guests. This is a good one and I suggest you check it out. Here are 3 Episodes that I really liked:

  • Episode #368: How to Survive Brain Cancer
  • Episode #367: Tim Lane. How To Release Trauma Stored In The Body
  • Episode #338: Mikhaila Peterson. Diet, Depression, and Dad, Jordan B. Peterson.

I'm just getting into this podcast, but loving it so far. Would be interested to hear what you think.

Maverick: Dan Price of Gravity Payments

Seattle-based company Gravity Payments has tripled its revenue since CEO and Maverick you should know about, Dan Price raised the company's minimum wage to $70,000, six years ago.

Here's how the company is doing now.

Classic Book I Read Over and Over Again

In 2002 — the middle of some very dark times in my life — a friend of mine, Sam, gave me a copy of, "Love Is Letting Go Of Fear," by Dr. Gerald D. Jampolsky.

This short, large-format book is also equipped with lots of pictures, so the chances of me actually reading it were pretty high. Alas — what used to happen regularly at that time —I simply ignored the gift (although I thanked him and tried my best to make him believe that I’d read it) and put it on my bookshelf for a few years. Until one day in 2004, when I was overcome with crippling anxiety (I didn’t know what to call it back then), I picked it up and read it cover to cover in one sitting. It changed my life.

Documentary About A Childhood Hero

Growing up in the 80s as a young soccer player there were many famous players to look up to. And then there was "Pelé." Pelé didn't play soccer in the 80s, but he was so iconic that even today he is known as one of the greatest soccer players to ever play the game.  Even if you don't like soccer, watch this documentary. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks for reading!

Have feedback to share with me? Which above was your favorite? Want more or less of something? Have other suggestions?

Send a reply to [email protected] and let me know. I'm always open to new ideas if you have something cool or interesting that you think I should know and/or write about in the next, Black Coffee Friday.

That's it for now... talk soon!

Chad
