Hi Audrey,

Here's your weekly email of things I'm reading, listening to, thinking about, buying, or just plain paying attention to. I hope you get something out of this, but if you don't and you decide to unsubscribe, I'll buy you a coffee for wasting your time.

Yep, I'm serious, just unsubscribe and I'll send you a gift card for a free coffee.

What I'm Watching: "Formula 1: Drive to Survive"

This is one of the best documentary series on team development I've ever watched. I also recommend "Being Liverpool," a great documentary about Liverpool Football Club's drive toward the English Premier League Championship.

What I'm Thinking About - How "Unlimited Vacation," is Actually a Bad Concept

I've been a fan of low-control concepts like flexible work schedules and unlimited time off for many years, but recently I've been thinking that some of these things are actually deteriorating both the workplace and the workforce. Here's an interesting article that I'm pondering.

Interesting Study: "The Long Term Effect of COVID 19 on workplace productivity"

This is a bit of an academic read, but I thought it was very interesting. Most notably, it talks about the long-term negative impact of COVID-19 on productivity seems to be less than 3-percent. I would have thought it would be much higher.

Maverick Crush - Pete Koch

Pete Koch is 59 years old and walks around with his shirt off most of the time. The former NFL Player and actor has recently reinvented himself as the poster boy for fitness over 50. I want to be like him in 10 years.

Thanks For Reading

Have feedback to share with me? Which above was your favorite? Want more or less of something? Have other suggestions?

Send a reply to [email protected] and let me know. I'm always open to new ideas if you have something cool or interesting that you think I should know and/or write about in the next, Black Coffee Friday.

That's it for now... talk soon!

Chad
